CELESTIAL GARDEN BURIAL PROCESS

Celestial Garden Memorial Park is a place of remembrance. We provide a tranquil and calm space for family and friends to come together to celebrate and honor their loved ones. 

Burial is a time-honored method of committing a loved one’s remains. 

Today, burials must comply with relevant Department of Health, Local Government and Celestial Garden regulations to ensure they are performed in the interests of public health and to community expectations. 

WE ALWAYS:

• Abide by Government regulations, including those of the Department of Health Department, LGU   
• Adhere to the Disposal of the Deceased - Health and the Public Health Regulation   
• FOLLOW OUR OWN STRICT POLICIES WHICH INCLUDE CREMATION OF DEATHS FROM INFECTIOUS DISEASES PRIOR TO BURIAL
• CGI ALLOWS COVID CREMATED BURIALS ONLY
• FOUR 4 DAYS BURIAL REQUEST PREPARATION, and procedures and code of behavior and  
• Bury remains in a dignified manner within our grounds.  

CHOOSING A BURIAL PLOT

Please note – It is common practice for a burial plot to have been arranged in advance upon purchasing the lot and issuing of Purchase Agreement. As your loved one may have arranged a burial site, it can be a good idea to check with family members to see if they know if this has been done. More information of prearranging memorials is available. 

If a burial site needs to be identified, our CGI Representative will recommend a location that meets your family’s needs. The CGI Representative will usually make an appointment for the family to visit the memorial park, and to go on a tour to the grounds. This will assist you to select an appropriate site, to view and discuss your options, and to have your questions answered.

BURIAL CONFIRMATION

The next step in arranging a burial is to complete an Interment Order; our CGI Representative will require you to complete this form and assist you to meet and complete burial requirements which include:

1)  CERTIFIED TRUE COPY OF DEATH CERTIFICATE

2)  PRESENT IDENTIFICATION OF THE DECEASED

3)  PRESENT ORIGINAL PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR THE LOT

4)  PRESENT TWO (2) GOVERNMENT ID OF LOT OWNER

5)  PRESENT ORIGINAL RECEIPTS ON PAYMENTS MADE TO THE MEMORIAL LOT-PAYMENTS MUST BE UP TO DATE

6)  PAYMENT FOR LOT BALANCE – (if any) thru online banking or direct deposit to our:

        Write down your  Purchase Agreement (PA) No._____ as our reference.

8)  COMPLETION OF INTERNMENT INTERMENT ORDER FORM. THE FORM CONTAINS THE IDENTIFICATION OF LOT, GRAVE MARKER AND OTHER INFORMATION NEEDED TO ORGANIZE THE BURIAL SERVICE. ONCE COMPLETE REQUIREMENTS ARE SUBMITTED, CELESTIAL GARDEN MANAGEMENT WILL BEGIN PROCESSING THE BURIAL REQUEST. 

WE NEED A MINIMUM FOUR (4) WORKING DAYS TO PROCESS THE BURIAL. 

BEFORE THE BURIAL 

The main task to be performed before the burial is the preparation of the grave site.

The selected site, whether prearranged or just chosen, is marked out and checked by staff to ensure accuracy. 

After the grave has been dug, its dimensions and location are checked against the information provided in the PURCHASE AGREEMENT & INTERMENT ORDER to ensure it is correct, and that any other requirements you requested have been provided for. 

AT THE BURIAL 

At the time of burial, a verification and photo/video documentation of the deceased is performed upon arrival at the memorial park. 

The coffin will then be placed on a lowering device next to the graveside. Some families will hold a service at the graveside, while others do not. Please note limited capacity due to strict LGU protocol of social distancing and limited attendance.

Flowers can be placed on the coffin if requested, and single flowers can be dropped into the open grave. The coffin is then lowered into the grave using the lowering device. 

AFTER THE BURIAL 

After family and friends have departed, the burial staff will collect the lowering device and other equipment. The site is then ready for filling. 

Once filled in, the burial staff compacts the soil and prepares the site for re-turfing. The turf will be placed on top of the grave site as soon as the ground has settled. 

The Grave Marker will be added to the grave when they have been completed, and we will let you and your family know when the memorialization is completed.
